German Socialist Gestapo arrested Brother Jan Wąsik during the round-up and mass arrests of the religious in the Society of the Catholic Apostolate's Higher Theological Seminary in Ołtarzew. Shipped to Auschwitz death camp, Brother Wąsik perished, on November 2, 1941.
