6/30/2018 0 Comments June 30th, 2018Father Marian Gorecki was arrested by the German Socialists on the first day they invaded Poland, sparking World War II, on September 1, 1939.
Tortured, he was then transferred to Stutthof concentration camp, where he endured more intense interrogations, torture, starvation, exhaustion and exposure. On Good Friday, March 22, 1940, Father Gorecki along with 66 other Poles were driven into the woods near the camp and forced to stand at the edge of a mass grave, where each was executed with a shot to the back of the head before they tumbled into the hole and were immediately buried, with some perhaps buried alive. 6/29/2018 0 Comments June 29th, 2018During the third wave of arrests of Polish priests, by the German Socialists in the Reichsgau Wartheland, Father Maksymilian Binkiewicz was arrested, on October 6, 1941.
Shipped to Dachau extermination camp, he suffered from starvation, exhaustion and exposure until his death, when he was beaten to death by a camp guard, on June 24, 1942. VIVA CRISTO REY! Niech żyje Chrystus Król! 6/28/2018 0 Comments June 28th, 2018As part of the Intelligenzaktion, the action against the intellectuals, the German Socialist Gestapo arrested Father Ludwik Roch Gietyngier and 54 other priests, in the Wieluń region, on June 6, 1941.
Transported to a resettlement camp in Konstantynów Łódzki, the 55 priests met with about 400 other priests, who had also been arrested at the same time. All were shipped to Dachau extermination camp. Suffering from exhaustion and starvation, Father Gietyngier was transferred from the Priest Block to the Sick Block, but he didn't make it. On the way, Father Gietyngier was attacked by Josef-Sepp Heiden, an Austrian political prisoner and self-made kapo, the head of the area's working commando. Heiden beat the dying priest, kicked and jumped on the stomach of Father Gietyngier in the final moments before his murder, on November 30, 1941. VIVA CRISTO REY! Shipped to Posen concentration camp, Father Mzyk was regularly tortured by sadistic guards. Pulled from his cell, the priest was executed in the back of the head, by a drunken guard, on February 20, 1940. VIVA CRISTO REY! Locked up in Piotrków Kujawski jail, Father Nowakowski was interrogated and tortured until he was shot to death during a mass execution in a Tabaczyński estate park, November 1, 1939, along with 7 other priests and 22 Poles. Niech żyje Chrystus Król! 6/25/2018 0 Comments June 25th, 2018Father Kazimierz Tomasz Sykulski was arrested by the German Socialist Gestapo, the state secret police, on October 1, 1941.
Held in Radom prison, he was interrogated and tortured till he was bloodied, but never betrayed anyone and never revealed the secret of Confession. Shipped to Auschwitz, Father Sykulski was executed by gunshot by German Socialist guards, on December 11, 1941, and then burned in the extermination camp's crematorium oven. Father Sykulski's sister, Anna, received information, on January 26, 1942, about his death: "He was shot for activity that was unfavorable to the Reich." He was a Catholic priest, faithful to the Pope. VIVA CRISTO REY! Niech żyje Chrystus Król! 6/24/2018 0 Comments June 24th, 2018German Socialist secret State police, the Gestapo, arrested Father Kazimierz Grelewski, on January 24, 1941, with 330 other Catholic Polish intellectuals, including teachers, lawyers and doctors.
Father Kazimierz was shipped to Auschwitz, and then Dachau, where a kapo beat him. When the priest stood, he made the sign of the cross and said, "God forgive you." The kapo beat him down again and shouted, "I will send you to your God in a moment!" Father Grelewsk was executed on January 9, 1942. VIVA CRISTO REY! During the strategic operation, in Włocławek, Gestapo arrested Father Józef Straszewski, on November 7, 1939, along with 9 professors and 22 seminarians. Shipped to Dachau extermination camp, Father Straszewski accepted everything as the Will of God, even when he was transported to Hartheim Euthanasia Center, where he was gassed to death, on August 12, 1942, as part of Aktion T4, the liquidation of those the German Socialists deemed unworthy of life. Shipped to Auschwitz, where he received Number 13155, he was transferred, on May 4, 1941, to Dachau extermination camp, where he received Number 25286. At Dachau, Father Pawłowski was executed on January 9, 1942. His body was burned in the camp's crematorium oven, and his ashes were scattered in local fields. VIVA CRISTO REY! Niech żyje Chrystus Król! 6/20/2018 0 Comments June 20th, 2018German Socialist Gestapo arrested Father Józef Kut, who, on the way to Poznań Prison, blessed the Catholic peasants working in the fields.
Shipped to Dachau extermination camp, Father Kut's family worked for his freedom. The German Socialists agreed, on two conditions: that he renounce his priesthood and that he sign the German national list. Father Kut refused. Exhausted and starved, he perished on September 18, 1942. VIVA CRISTO REY! Niech żyje Chrystus Król! 6/19/2018 0 Comments June 19th, 2018After midnight, German Socialist Gestapo forced their way into the rectory, arrested Father Józef Kurzawa, ordered him into a car and drove him to the forest near the Osięciny parish.
Ordered out of the car, Father Kurzawa was executed, on May 24, 1940, by gunshot and left in the roadside ditch. VIVA CRISTO REY! Shipped to Sachsenhausen concentration camp, Father Innocenty was unable to keep up with the torturous penal exercises ordered by the sadistic guards. Beaten, he was taken to the baths by a guard, Fritz, who grabbed a hose from the hydrant and stuck the nozzle into the mouth of the priest, who died almost immediately from drowning, on June 6, 1940. Niech żyje Chrystus Król! 6/17/2018 0 Comments June 17th, 2018German Socialist Gestapo pulled Father Józef Czempiel from the confessional and dragged him straight to the police station in Chorzów, on May 13, 1940.
Shipped to Dachau, starved and exhausted, Father Czempiel was transferred to Hartheim Euthanasia Center, where he was gassed to death, May 4, 1942. His parting words to a fellow inmate and priest: "Stay with God. Greet my parishioners in Hajduk. I am going to die -- if that is the will of God." VIVA CRISTO REY! Niech żyje Chrystus Król! 6/16/2018 0 Comments June 16th, 2018Franciscan friar Father Józef "Achilles" Puchała was executed by the German Socialists during their Operation Hermann (July 13 - August 11, 1943), the enemy occupiers' strategic operation that targeted the Catholic resistance in Poland.
During Operation Hermann, the German Socialists rounded up Catholic villagers, herded them into churches, and set the churches on fire, killing everyone inside. Father Achilles was executed by being burned to death in such a fire, on July 19, 1943, VIVA CRISTO REY! Niech żyje Chrystus Król! 6/15/2018 0 Comments June 15th, 2018Father Jerzy Kaszyra was a priest of Rosica parish when German Socialist death troops took over the village, rounded up hundreds of Catholic villagers and clergy, and forced them into a warehouse.
The German Socialists set fire to the warehouse, and all inside, including Father Jerzy Kaszyra, perished, on February 18, 1943. VIVA CRISTO REY! Niech żyje Chrystus Król! 6/14/2018 0 Comments June 14th, 2018"Praised be Jesus Christ," were the dying words of Father Jan Nepomucen Chrzan.
Father Chrzan and fellow priests, from German Socialist occupied land of Reichsgau Wartheland, had been arrested, on November 6, 1941, after he and the others refused to become members of the Church of German Nationality. Deemed enemies of the Third Reich, he and the other priests were shipped to Dachau, where Father Chrzan died from starvation and exhaustion, on July 1, 1942. VIVA CRISTO REY! Niech żyje Chrystus Król! 6/13/2018 0 Comments June 13th, 2018During the Warsaw Uprising of the Polish Underground Resistance to liberate Warsaw from the occupation of the German Socialists, more than 200 nuns and priests were executed by the occupiers.
Father Józef Stanek, chaplain of the Polish Home Army, which led the resistance, was arrested by the German Socialists and taken to a warehouse on Solec Street. Escorted to an iron beam protruding from the wall, a noose -- made from Father Stanek's own stole -- was tightened around the neck of the priest, who made the Sign of the Cross, blessing his fellow prisoners, before the German Socialists hanged him, in odium fidei, on September 23, 1944. Shipped to Auschwitz, upon arrival he was ordered to throw his rosary onto the ground and stomp on it. When he refused, guards stripped him, tattooed his left forearm with Number 12764 and then beat him. Father Antonin never recovered from the beating and perished, on May 8, 1941. VIVA CRISTO REY! First detained in a dungeon in Lublin Castle prison, then transferred to Sachsenhausen concentration camp, Father Henryk was ultimately shipped to Dachau extermination camp, where he perished from starvation and exhaustion, on August 4, 1942. Moved from prison to prison, he was beaten and tortured by sadistic German Socialist guards. Shipped to Dachau extermination camp, on April 25, 1941, he received Number 24547. Exhausted, starved and no longer able to labor, he was to be shipped to Hartheim Euthanasia Center. "Stay with God," were the parting words of the priest over the shrill whistle of a camp guard.
