Arrested, the religious nuns were transported to the Batorówka Forest, where they were executed, still in their habits, August 1, 1943.

Her mother, Wanda, is on the far left, younger sister Ania is beside Father Wojtyła, and Andrzej Poltawski is at the right with his mother. (Poltawska family archives) Accused of assisting the resistance movement, Polish Catholic Wanda Półtawska was arrested by German Socialist Gestapo and shipped to Ravensbrück concentration camp, where she endured torturous, horrific medical experiments for four years, during which, she promised herself that if she survived she would become a doctor, and she did. She also wrote about her nightmarish life in the camp in "And I Am Afraid of My Dreams." She is still alive.

Long Live Christ King! 7/25/2019 0 Comments July 25th, 2019When the German Socialists invaded Poland, all higher education was banned, schools were closed and students were ordered to report to the Arbeit Amt, the Work Office, or else be arrested.
Polish Catholic teenager Zofia Posmysz was assigned a waitress job, but in her spare time, she attended secret classes, organized by the Polish underground. After someone reported the classes to the invaders, Gestapos arrested Zofia and three underground classmates. For six weeks she endured interrogations and torture, after which she was shipped to Auschwitz and other camps and was freed on May 2, 1945. VIVA CRISTO REY!
