Long Live Christ King! 8/30/2019 0 Comments August 30th, 2019Days after the German Socialists invaded Poland, Gestapo arrested Father Stanisław Kubski, who was led out of the city with his arms raised above his head. Tortured, he was forced to spend his first night kneeling. Shipped to Buchenwald, he suffered torture and slaved in the quarries for two years. Exhausted and suffering from an unattended broken arm, he was transferred to Dachau, where he maintained a tranquil nature, praying the rosary, a piece of string with knots. Elderly, suffering from scabies and weighing only 85 pounds, he was sent to the Hartheim Euthansia Center, where he was gassed to death, May 18, 1942.

At that time, Poland was about 87% Catholic, and the invaded country gave the world countless Catholic heroes who faced terrifying evils. One hero was Witold Pilecki, one of the founders of the Secret Polish Army, who volunteered to be rounded up and arrested to gather intelligence inside Auschwitz. To read his incredible story, by his own hand, please read Witold Pilecki's "Report," which is posted at the following link: https://www.theresamariemoreau.com/blog/august-27th-20185496902 Long Live Poland!
