Father Niechaj was shot in an old Jewish cemetery but is believed to have been buried alive, December 23, 1939.

Sentenced to death, he was shot, on January 22, 1940, during a mass execution, in Palmiry, of Warsaw Catholic intellectuals.

Tortured several times, he revealed nothing, but was transported to the Chojnowskie forest, a site of mass murders, where he was executed, February 12, 1943.

Never able to recover, she perished weeks later, on May 1, 1945
