In the early morning hours of May 12, 1946, Soviets tied him up and dragged him from the presbytery to a nearby forest, where they bashed him on the head and shot him with four bullets.

1/15/2020 0 Comments January 15th, 2020During the Polish Invasion, which initiated the Intelligenzaktion (the German Socialist program for the extermination of the Polish intellectual elite), parish priest Father Michał Rólski and vicar Father Władysław Nowicki were arrested and transported to Mogilno, where they were executed in a mass murder, September 21, 1939.

After nightfall, when the soldiers strong-armed their way into the women's room to rape them, Father Rahmel was murdered trying to save the women, February 27, 1945.

Transported to Tczew, they were tortured and executed, on October 20, 1939. Also killed by the invaders during World War II, Father Raszeja's two brothers: Franciszek, a doctor, and Leon, mayor of Toruń.
