8/29/2019 0 Comments August 29th, 2019September 1, 2019, will be the 80th anniversary of the German Socialist invasion of Poland, on September 1, 1939, and the beginning of World War II.
At that time, Poland was about 87% Catholic, and the invaded country gave the world countless Catholic heroes who faced terrifying evils. One hero was Witold Pilecki, one of the founders of the Secret Polish Army, who volunteered to be rounded up and arrested to gather intelligence inside Auschwitz.
