After the ignition of World War II, Father Piotr Andrejczuk was arrested by Soviet Socialists and shipped to Drohobych prison (with Father Zeno Alexander Krupski and others), where he was brutally interrogated and tortured. After a show trial by a military tribune, he was executed during a Soviet murder spree of prisoners, in June 1941.
