Because he was a Christian pastor, Jan Józefat Potocki was arrested by Soviet Socialists and shipped, on Christmas Eve, to Butyrki prison, then to Kozielsk concentration camp, and, finally, to the mass murder site, in Katyn, where he was executed, on April 9, 1940.
