The picture was taken on June 26, 1937 in front of the church of Corpus Christi in Kończyce after Mass. priest Roman Kozubek. In the second row from the bottom in the middle, priest Roman Kozubek. Father's parents on the right and on the left.
Apart from the father of priest Roman Kozubek, priest Paweł Doleżych is sitting in the parish. Also in the second row from the bottom most probably priest Gerard Kuś.
Targeted during the German Socialist Intelligenzaktion -- the action against Polish Catholic intellecltuals -- Father Roman Kozubek was arrested by Gestapo.
Shipped to Sachsenhausen death camp, Father Kozubek -- suffering from starvation, exposure and exhaustion -- fell ill during roll call, was fatally beaten by a German kapo and perished the next day, on May 16, 1940.
