German Socialist Gestapo arrested Augustine Father Wihelm (born Bolesław Gaczek) for helping displaced Catholics, Jews and other displaced Poles, after the invaders took over Poland.
Shipped to Auschwitz, Father Wilhelm was tortured to death in Block Number 7, during an interrogation in the political department of the camp, on November 11, 1941.
