German Socialist Gestapo arrested Father Michał Woźniak, on October 6, 1941, the first day in a two-day period of mass arrests of Polish Catholic priests.
Shipped to Dachau, when he, and other priests, refused to sign up for the Volksdeutsche list, the guards increased the persecution and punishment.
Suffering from starvation, exhaustion and exposure, Father Woźniak perished, on May 16, 1942.
