One week after the German Socialists invaded Poland, the Gestapo arrested Father Stanisław Kubski, on September 8, 1939.
Shipped to Dachau then Buchenwald then back to Dachau, Father Kubski suffered from starvation, exhaustion and exposure.
Unable to labor for the German Socialists, Father Kubski was deemed unfit for life and was slated for extermination at Hartheim Extermination Center.
En transit, he perished, May 18, 1942, and his remains were hauled from the truck and burned in a Munchen crematorium.
