Father Kazimierz Tomasz Sykulski was arrested by the German Socialist Gestapo, the state secret police, on October 1, 1941.
Held in Radom prison, he was interrogated and tortured till he was bloodied, but never betrayed anyone and never revealed the secret of Confession.
Shipped to Auschwitz, Father Sykulski was executed by gunshot by German Socialist guards, on December 11, 1941, and then burned in the extermination camp's crematorium oven.
Father Sykulski's sister, Anna, received information, on January 26, 1942, about his death: "He was shot for activity that was unfavorable to the Reich."
He was a Catholic priest, faithful to the Pope.
