During the third wave of arrests of Polish priests, by the German Socialists in the Reichsgau Wartheland, Father Maksymilian Binkiewicz was arrested, on October 6, 1941.
Shipped to Dachau extermination camp, he suffered from starvation, exhaustion and exposure until his death, when he was beaten to death by a camp guard, on June 24, 1942.
