3/20/2018 0 Comments March 20th, 2018Brother Feliks "Symforian" Ducki and 21 of his Capuchin brothers in their Warsaw monastery, were arrested by the Gestapo, German Socialist henchmen, on June 27, 1941.
First taken to Pawiak Prison, Brother Symforian was transferred to Auschwitz on September 3, 1941, where he received the new "name": Number 20364. In a final move, he was transferred to Birkenau extermination camp, in March 1942. In Birkenau, on the evening of April 11, 1942, Bother Symforian saw German guards use sticks to beat prisoners to death. In an act of great selfless compassion, Brother Symforian turned to the victims and made the Sign of the Cross over the whole block. Enraged, the guards rushed over to the monk and beat him to death.
