Captured by the German Socialists after the fall of Warsaw, Father Józef Tomiak (senior chaplain of the Military Curia of the Polish Army in Warsaw) was shipped to Buchenwald, where he slaved in the quarries until he was transferred to Dachau, where he was exterminated with a lethal injection, August 8, 1942.
