Placed under house arrest and prohibited from performing any liturgical activities under the German Socialists, when the Soviet Socialists began their surge into Poland, Father Teodor Henryk Walenta gave refuge to parishioners in his basement, where drunk Red Army soldiers pushed their way in and harassed women. Standing up for their honor, Father Walenta was shot by one of the soldiers and then carried out and tossed into a ditch, May 16, 1945. VIVA CRISTO REY! Niech żyje Chrystus Król!
