The day after the German Socialists invaded Poland, Gestapo stormed the rectory of Father Józef Danecki, ripped off his clothing, tied him and dragged him behind a horse cart toward a cemetery in Jaworzno, where he, the parish priest and the organist were executed, on September 2, 1939.
